Terms & Conditions

A reservation is confirmed upon receipt of the required deposit and a signed rental agreement. Availability is not guaranteed until both have been received. Casa Mavericks reserves the right to decline any reservation at its discretion.

A deposit of 50% of the total rental fee is due at the time of booking. The remaining balance is due 60 days prior to your arrival date. For reservations made within 60 days of arrival, full payment is required at the time of booking. All payments are processed in United States Dollars (USD).

Cancellations made more than 60 days prior to the arrival date will receive a full refund of the deposit, less a 5% processing fee. Cancellations made between 30 and 60 days prior to arrival will forfeit the 50% deposit. Cancellations made within 30 days of arrival are non-refundable. We strongly recommend purchasing travel insurance to protect against unforeseen circumstances.

A refundable security deposit is required and will be held against damage, excessive cleaning, or loss of property. The security deposit will be returned within 7 business days of departure, less any documented deductions. Guests will be notified of any deductions with photographic evidence.

The maximum occupancy of the villa is as stated in the booking confirmation. Exceeding the maximum occupancy without prior written consent from Casa Mavericks is a material breach of these terms and may result in immediate termination of the rental with no refund.

Standard check-in time is 3:00 PM and check-out is 11:00 AM local Costa Rica time. Early check-in and late check-out may be arranged subject to availability and may incur an additional fee. Failure to vacate by the agreed check-out time may result in an additional night charge.

Guests are responsible for keeping the villa and all furnishings, fixtures, and equipment in the same condition as found at arrival. Guests agree not to use the property for any illegal activities. Guests are responsible for the conduct of all members of their party and any visitors. Any damage caused by guests or their visitors will be charged against the security deposit or billed directly.

The following are strictly prohibited: events or parties exceeding the stated occupancy without prior written approval, excessive noise between the hours of 10:00 PM and 8:00 AM, smoking inside the villa, and any activity that disturbs neighbours or violates local ordinances.

Pets are not permitted at the villa unless expressly authorised in writing prior to arrival. Unauthorised pets may result in forfeiture of the security deposit and additional cleaning charges.

Casa Mavericks and its owners shall not be liable for any loss, damage, injury, or expense suffered by guests or their visitors during their stay. Guests assume all risk associated with the use of the villa and its amenities, including the pool. Guests are advised to take all necessary safety precautions. Casa Mavericks is not responsible for any loss or theft of personal belongings.

Casa Mavericks shall not be liable for any failure or delay in performance due to circumstances beyond its reasonable control, including but not limited to natural disasters, acts of government, pandemics, or severe weather events. In such cases, Casa Mavericks will make reasonable efforts to offer alternative dates or a partial credit at its discretion.

These terms and conditions shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Republic of Costa Rica. Any disputes arising from these terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Guanacaste, Costa Rica.

Casa Mavericks reserves the right to modify these terms and conditions at any time. Changes will be effective upon posting to the website. Your continued use of our website or completion of a reservation after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
